<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst for gas phase oxidation of butane, by containing one kind of molybdovanadophosphoric acid or Bi, Zn or Cs salt thereof as an active component. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of molybdovanadophosphoric acid or Bi, Zr or Cs salt thereof is contained as an active component to prepare a catalyst for gas phase oxidation of butane. There is no special limit with respect to a method for preparing this catalyst but it is usually prepared as mentioned hereinbelow. That is, an aqueous solution of a compound obtained by substituting phosphomolybdic acid, more precisely, dodecamolybdophosphoric acid, or all of its proton or a part thereof, pref., 1.5-2.5 proton with a Bi, a Zr or a Cs atom and a vanadyl compound, for example, vanadyl oxalate are mixed in a mole ratio of 1:0.2-4.5 and the resulting mixture is reacted under heating to be evaporated to dryness or to precipitate said catalyst from the aqueous solution. In this catalyst, a carrier is not necessarily required, but because it is easily converted to a powder, it is used by supporting the same by an inert carrier such as silica.</p> |
