<p>The claimed pick-up device contains considerable less mercury than could be expected, being small dimensioned and cheap. The device (1) is mounted between a bearing arrangement (40) which e.g. lubrication contineously need to be measured, and a measuring apparatus (45). The end-part (15) of shaft (14) which is coupled to a bearing arrangement (40) comprises a hollow space (20) provided with a very small quantity of mercury (25). A contact-pin (23) being a part of cover (10) is provided with a bore (36) for a connecting plug to apparatus (45). When the shaft (14) rotates the mercury (25) by centrifugal forces will form a layer in space (20) such that the electrical current (46) can run from the bearing arrangement (40) via said shaft (14), its end-parts (19, 25, 23, 36) to the measuring apparatus (45).</p> |
