<p>PURPOSE:To improve combustion efficiency and to prevent exhaust of NOx, by a method wherein an oxygen enriched gas feed device is controlled according to a kid of coal of various coals. CONSTITUTION:Air 8 is mixed with pulverized coal from a feeder 4, and the mixture is injected through a pulverized coal burner 2 in a furnace 1. A secondary air pipe 10 is connected to a pulverized coal burner 2 to feed air required for combustion of pulverized coal to form a first stage combustion area. A tertiary air nozzle 16 feeds tertiary air required for formation of a secondary stage combustion area. An amount of gas fed through oxygen enriched gas feed pipes 20, 20a, and 20b is controlled according to a kind of coal. During an ignition and temperature increase process, ignition is promoted and stabilized by means of oxygen enriched gas, reduction combustion at a high temperature is progressed at the first stage combustion area to prevent production of NOx, and combustion reaction of unburnt gas and unburnt particle is progressed in the second combustion area. This constitution sharply promotes combustion reaction of pulverized coal, and provides the high efficiency of combustion.</p> |
