PURPOSE:To obtain parallel primary diffracted light beams which have equal intensity through a simple device, by splitting one laser light beam into (n) beams through an optical fiber array, correcting them into parallel light beams with an equal interval through an elliptic lens, and subjecting to ultrasonic wave modulation. CONSTITUTION:An incident laser beam 7 is split into plural beams through the optical fiber array 10, and they are compensated through the elliptic lens 11 into (n) parallel beams 7-1-7-n which have equal light intensity and an equal interval and sent out to the incidence surface of a multibeam acoustooptic (AO) medium 5. Then (n) sets of electrodes 12-1-12-n are provided on the transducer 6 of the AO medium 5 at positions corresponding to the respective laser beams. Thus, (n) primary diffracted light beams 8-1-8-n modulated according to signals applied to the respective electrodes 12-1-12-n are sent out of the AO medium 5. Consequently, the simple device is used to obtain the parallel modulated primary diffracted light beams whhich have the equal light intensity. |
