The air drying unit for textile material comprises a housing with front wall containing a rotary drum with end wall spaced from the wall and containing a circular concentric opening accessible via a door hinged on a vertical pivot in a concentric opening in the housing wall. The door has a projection which concentrically enters the drum opening when the door is closed and carries a transverse grille. The space between the walls contains an annular chamber around this projection connecting with an air extract duct. This annular chamber contains a concentric sieve which is preferably secured via a snap-in connection to the rim of the housing opening. Rotary air drying drum for textile material.
