PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of base metal and to improve joint strength, by restraining a pair of objects to be welded formed with joint surfaces on prescribed surfaces by means of jigs and joining the joint surfaces by low pressurizing force and heating. CONSTITUTION:Joint parts 5a of objects 5 to be joined are formed to the faces inclined at a specified angle from the direction at a right angle to the axial direction of the objects 5 and from the orthogonally intersecting direction. Such joint parts 5a are set between jigs 4 for restraining deformation, and after the entire part of the device is maintained in an inert atmosphere, the jigs 4 are heated to heat the objects 5. The objects 5 are grasped with chucks, and are pressed axially; at the same time, the objects are pressed in the direction at a righ anglue to the axial direction by a pressing means 14. The deterioration of the base metal is prevented and the joint strength is improved by the above- mentioned low pressurizing force and heating. |
