PURPOSE:To improve productivity by superposing plastic substrates coated with electrically conductive films with a peripheral sealing material in between, and cutting the upper and lower substrates as specified and then performing adhesion work for sealing. CONSTITUTION:The plastic substrates 1 after being patterned are cut along long sides of respective cells, i.e. cutting lines indicated by broken lines 4. The substrates are connected by cutoff parts 6 on the whole, so individual cells are not separated. A sealant is applied for sealing, and after liquid crystal is injected, the substrates are cut along cutting lines indicated by broken lines 5 to separate the individual cells. The cutting lines 5 are provided at the same parts of the upper and lower substrates 1, so they are cut easily. Consequently, the productivity is improved. |
