PURPOSE:To contrive to effectively utilize a picture area factor measuring device and a printing press, by converting a code format for data so that the opening of an ink key for an arbitrary printing press can be preset by data outputted from an arbitrary printing press can be preset by data outputted from an arbitrary picture area factor measuring device. CONSTITUTION:Output data from the picture area factor measuring devices A1, A2... are inputted into a converter 1 directly or through a magnetic card 11 or the like. In the converter, data are inputted into a CPU2, are stored in an RAM, a code format for the picture area factor data is converted in accordance with a converting program in response to a command supplied from a keyboard 3, or further, function conversion is conducted, whereby the data are converted into ink key opening data. The data thus converted to the processable data in an arbitrary printing press are fed to one of the printing presses P1, P2..., and an ink is preset. |
