PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a reactor by connecting a reactor having an inductance larger than that in a large current range in a small current range in series with a DC motor. CONSTITUTION:A DC reactor 4 which has a large inductance value A so as not to lower the responding speed due to interruption of a current in a low current range and an inductance value B necessary from the improvement in the rectifying characteristic and the vibration noise in the large current range is connected between thyristor converters 2A, 2B and a DC motor 5. In this manner, the capacity of the DC reactor can be reduced. |
