The trough (1) with a fluorescent lamp is intended for fitting over goods in a display cabinet or shelf. It has a translucent strip facing the front and transparencies (7) which refer to the goods displayed with prices etc. - It comprises a downward open, approximately U-section carrier (2,4), containing the lamp and provided with windows (3) in its forward convex front wall. Parallel grooves (5) along the upper and lower ends of this wall permit slidable insertion of a translucent, light dispersal strip (6), e.g. in flexible foil, to act as backing for flexible transparencies similarly inserted.(1/3)
