PURPOSE:To provide a carburetor having a fuel pipe extended from a fuel reserving chamber communicated with a float chamber via an orifice, which is capable of improving the performance of an engine, by employing such an arrangement that only the fuel reserved in the fuel reserving chamber is drawn out at the time of low-speed acceleration and low-speed deceleration. CONSTITUTION:In case of applying a carburetor of this invention in an outboard engine using a main fuel and a subsidiary fuel in combination, a fuel reserving chamber 24 is formed adjacently of a subsidiary float chamber 12B for storing the subsidiary fuel of gasoline such that it is communicated with the chamber 12B via an orifice 26. The fuel reserving chamber 24 is communicated, via a suction nozzle 27 and a fuel passage 28, with a subsidiary by-pass port 29 which is opened in an intake passage 13 at the portion thereof located slightly on the upstream side of the position where a throttle valve 15 is located when it is closed completely. Further, the upper space of the subsidiary float chamber 12B is communicated via a connecting passage 33 with the intake passage 13 at the portion located on the upstream side of the throttle valve 15, and at the same time, it is also communicated with the upper space of the fuel reserving chamber 24 via a connecting passage 34. |
