PURPOSE:To decrease self discharge in a dope-undope type battery by using carbon mold heated at a specified temperature in an reducing atmosphere as an electrode of an electrochemical battery. CONSTITUTION:A carbon molded electrode heated at a temperature of 400- 1,000 deg.C in a reducing atmosphere is used in an electrochemical battery which generates electromotive force by doping and undoping to its electrode. This electrode is immersed in an organic solvent containined an electrolyte to form an electrochemical battery. By this heat treatment, adsorbed molecules and functional groups on the surface of the electrode are removed without any electrode attack. Therefore, self discharge is suppressed and voltage fall is prevented. |
