PURPOSE:To automatically and economically switch a mode of a plurality of discharge lamps simultaneously by performing the switching of the mode by a remote operation of an external power source switch. CONSTITUTION:When a power source switch 22 is closed, a triac 5 is energized, the AC voltage of an AC power source 23 is applied to the primary coil 27 as it is, and discharge lamps 25, 26 become normal discharge mode without dimming. When the switch 22 is once opened and again closed within the prescribed period of time, the triac 5 mains OFF, and the AC voltage of the power source 23 is reduced through a choke coil 33 and a resistor 34, and applied to the primary coil 27. Accordingly, the lamps 25, 26 become in dimming discharge mode. When the switch 22 is again closed after the prescribed period is elapsed from OFF of the switch 22, the lamps again become normal discharge mode. |
