AUTOMATIC INSERTION OF CRUCIBLE

PURPOSE:To hold a crucible to a predetermined position in a container, by a method wherein the crucible under a state supported in a freely rotatable manner is inserted into a horizontally directed container having a crucible receiver mounted therein and the bottom part of the crucible is inserted into the container in a rotatable manner in a horizontally directed state with respect to the bottom part side of the container. CONSTITUTION:A crucible 2 is supported in a freely rotatable manner by a conveying apparatus 1 and a crucible receiver 4 and a holder 5 for holding the crucible 2 in a horizontally directed state are fixed to and mounted in a container 6 supported in a freely tiltable manner by a tilting apparatus 3. When the container 6 is horizontally directed and the crucible 2 is advanced into said container in a state supported by the apparatus 1, the opening side upper part of the crucible 2 in the inserting direction thereof is contacted with the receiver 4 and the bottom part of the crucible 2 is rotated to the bottom part direction of the container 6 and the opening side of the crucible 2 is brought to the same direction as the opening side of the container 6 while the opening side upper part of the crucible 2 is succeedingly contacted with the receiver 4. In this state, when the bottom part of the crucible 2 is brought close to the bottom part of the container 6, the insertion of the crucible 2 is stopped while the support of the crucible 2 is released to be received by the holder 5 and the container 6 is subsequently made vertical by the apparatus 3.
