PURPOSE:To process empty cans hygienically while to improve the manuverability by providing a conveyor for transferring empty cans, compression roll for collapsing the empty cans and means for feeding the collapsed cans to a dump truck. CONSTITUTION:Upon throwing of a recovered empty can 9 into a throw-in port 3 of a conveyor chamber 2, it is lifted up while being cleaned by a scraper con- veyor 4 and thrown into a hopper 17. Furthermore the empty can 9 will drop into the roll chamber 16 while being lined up by a screw conveyor 18 provided at the bottom of the hopper 17. The empty can 9 is half collapsed by a pre-pressure roll 10 then fully collapsed by a compression roll 14. The fully collasped can 9 is fed to an under part of the lifting and drying chamber 20 from the shoot 28 then lifted while being dried by the conveyor and fan heater mounted in said chamber 20 and discarded to the dump truck 21 through the shoot 22. |
