PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of abnormal decision by correcting the travel stop decision due to the fault of car speed sensor during night travel while eliminating the abnormality decision due to the wheel lock under abrupt brake. CONSTITUTION:Under the lighting state during night travel, when the abnormality such as a fault in the car speed sensor system occurs to abruptly interrupt the pulse series from the sensor 2, a pulse existence decision circuit 18 will decide that the car is stopping, but since the difference of pulse periods before and after occurrence of the fault will be large enough not to exist during normal deceleration process thereby the subtraction rate data from a subtraction circuit 13 will exceed over the maximum lever stored in a subtraction level discriminating circuit 15 to produce (H) corresponding to the occurrence of abnormality thus to produce Q-output which is used in OR gate 16 to correct the stopping decision during travel, thereby safety travel can be performed without unlighting. It will function similarly even under the wheel lock due to abrupt brake. Consequently the reliability of abnormality decision is improved resulting in safety travelling. |
