PURPOSE:To prevent racing of wheels of an automobile in a reliable manner, by calculating the slip factor through comparison of the speed of rotation of driving wheels and driven wheels, and reducing the driving force of an engine automatically when the slip factor becomes higher than a prescribed value, without operating an accelerator pedal. CONSTITUTION:Brakes 1, 2 attached to front wheels 11 and rear wheels 12 are respectively provided with antilock controlling modulators 6, 7 which are controlled by a microprocessor 10. Further, sensors 13, 14 for detecting the speed of rotation of the wheels are attached respectively to the front wheels 11 and the rear wheels 12, and the slip factor of the driving wheels (front wheels 11 or rear wheels 12) is calculated through comparison of the speed of rotation of the front wheels 11 and the rear wheels 12 which are detected from the outputs of the sensors 13, 14. With such an arrangement, when the slip factor thus detected becomes higher than a prescribed value, the driving force of an engine is reduced by operating an actuator by producing a driving force control signal from the microprocessor 10 and thereby decreasing the opening of a throttle valve 20. |
