摘要 PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of the titled apparatus, by a method wherein the speed of an AC generator is detected by the output voltage of a permanent magnet pilot generator (PMG) at the time of starting and stopping and detected from the output frequency of the AC generator at the time of usual operation. CONSTITUTION:Because an exciting control apparatus 9 is not operated at the time of the starting and the stopping of a permanent magnet pilot generator (PMG) type brushless AC generator, the output of an AC exciter 6 is not issued and the output of an AC generator 5 is zero while PMG 8 outputs voltage proportional to a rotary speed. Therefore, the output voltage of PMG 8 is converted to DC voltage by a rectifier smoothing circuit 14 to shift a speed indicator 4. When a usual operational state is established, the exciting control apparatus 9 is operated and, when an exciting current is supplied to an exciting coil 5a to generate output voltage from the AC generator 5, output voltage having frequency proportional to said speed is added to a speed detecting apparatus 11 through PT10. The voltage from PT10 is converted to DC voltage proportional to output frequency by the F/V converter 13 in the speed detecting apparatus 11. In addition, because a relay X12 is energized when the output of the AC generator is established, a contact 2a is changed over to a reverse direction and the speed indicator 4 is shifted by the output DC voltage of the F/V converter 13. Because speed detection can be performed without attaching a speed detecting sensor to the PMG type brushless AC generator itself at all, the structure of the PMG type brushless AC generator becomes simple.
