PURPOSE:To obtain mononuclear microcapsules, having a core material coated with dense and uniform wall membranes, and rich in fluidity, by separating phases from a cyclohexane solution containing ethyl cellulose with a specific hydrocarbon compound as a phase separation inducing agent. CONSTITUTION:0.1-20vol% hydrocarbon compound, having 7-10 (cal/cm<3>)<1/2> solubility parameter (delta) and 150-3,000 molecular weight, and soluble in cyclohexane, e.g. liquid paraffin, vaseline, squalane, polybutadiene or polystyrene, as a phase separation inducing agent is added to a solution containing 0.5- 10wt% ethyl cellulose in the cyclohexane, stirring the resultant mixture under heating to prepare a dispersion of the core material, and the resultant dispersion is then cooled under stirring to give the aimed microcapsules. |
