The tool is made up of an elongated metal body (1), bearing, close to one of its ends, a metal percussion (hammering) head (2) with a nonmetallic insert (7), integral with a forked tip (3) whereas, at its opposite end, it has a handle (4). The extraction fork begins at the percussion head (2). A rotatable ring (5) for hooking onto the peg (8) and for its final extraction is hinged on the metal body (1) and has a catch (6) which engages in the throughhole at the top of the peg (8). Using this single tool it is therefore possible to insert and extract tent pegs, a procedure which hitherto had to be performed using two different tools. <IMAGE>
