发明名称 MEASURING DEVICE FOR PROPAGATION LOSS OF OPTICAL WAVEGUIDE
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable easy measurement with high accuracy by providing two pieces of removable prisms on an output side in addition to the prisms on the input side and output side fixed on an optical waveguide. CONSTITUTION:The exit light from a laser 1 is condensed on a prism 10 of an input side by a condenser lens 2, and is coupled to an optical waveguide 4, propagates in the waveguide 4 and a part thereof is coupled by a prism 21 on an output side apart by a distance l1 from the prism 10 and is emitted therefrom. The light which is not coupled by the prism 21 propagates in succession in the waveguide 4, and is partly coupled and emitted by and from a prism 22 on an output side apart by a distance l2 from the prism 10. The light which is not coupled by the prism 22 is further coupled partly and emitted by and from a prism 23 on an output side.
