The device comprises means 16, 18, for blocking the mouth 12 of the glove in a leaktight manner; means for pressurising the inside 9 of the glove 8; means for detecting a reduction in the pressure inside the glove 8. The means for blocking the mouth 12 of the glove in a leaktight manner preferably consist of a plug 14, the shape and dimension of which correspond to those of the mouth 12 of the glove, the said plug 14 comprising a part 16 possessing a cylindrical portion 16a over which is fitted a O-ring seal 18, the cylindrical portion 16a having a shoulder 16b, and a clamping part 20 sliding on the cylindrical part 16a, it being possible for the O-ring seal 18 to be compressed between the shoulder 16b and the clamping part 20. <IMAGE>
