PURPOSE:To enhance the OCV, the electric discharge capacity and the fluorine utilization rate of a battery by making the positive electrode by using reformed graphite fluoride prepared by partially decomposing graphite fluoride by irradiating electromagnetic waves on it. CONSTITUTION:Reformed graphite fluoride is obtained by dispersing GF in a dispersion medium by stirring or the like, and irradiating electromagnetic waves on the dispersion so as to decompose part of the grphite fluoride. The decomposition rate is preferred to be in the range of 0.01-50%, and preferably in the range of 0.1-10%. As to electromagnetic waves used, electromagnetic waves having any wavelength will do provided that they have the wavelength range (about 10<-17>-10<5>m) of generally called electromagnetic waves. Besides, wavelength shorter than 10<-4>cm is preferred in terms of the effect of decomposing GF, and wavelength larger than 10<-7>cm is preferred in terms of ill effect to the human body. As the above dispersion medium in which GF is dispersed, any liquid that can moisten GF will do, and either an organic solvent such as ethanol or acetone or water containing a surfactant can be used. |
