PURPOSE:To obtain a simple and inexpensive radiograph without requiring any darkroom work, by a method wherein a radiation-converting panel provided with a stimulatable fluorescent substance layer for accumulating radiation image information is scanned with light of the first wavelength, the radiation image information thus accumulated is read as light of the second wavelength, and is subjected to photoelectric conversion and scanning with an electric current. CONSTITUTION:When a body 2 to be phototgraphed is placed between a radiation generator 1 and the panel 3 andis irradiated with a radation, the radiation is transmitted through the body 2 in accordance with the radiation transmittance of each part of the body 2, and a transmisssion image is projected to the panel 3. As a result, electrons or positive holes the number of which is proportional to the quantity of the radiation absorbed into the fluorescent substance layer are generated, and are accumulated at a top level of the substance. Namely, an accumulated image of radiation transmission images is formed. Then, the accumulated image is developed by exciting by light energy. The intensity of the fluorescent rays irradiated is proportional to that of radiation energy, this optic signal is converted into an electrical signal by a photoelectric converter 6 such as a photomultiplier tube, and an image is regenerated on an electric current sensitized recording material 8 by scanning with an electric current.
|
