PURPOSE:To enable to automatically feed a paper after manually correcting a skew, by a method wherein a paper-feeding means is reversely driven by a printing paper setting command to return the leading end of a paper to a detecting position of a paper sensor, and then the paper is forwardly fed to a printing starting position. CONSTITUTION:When a printing paper 3 set in position is skewed, guide rollers 4, 5 are separated from a platen 2 by manually operating a releasing lever, and the skew is corrected. When the lever is reset and a setting switch 23 is depressed, a paper setting command signal is again given to a porgram controlling circuit. Since an output signal from the paper sensor 19 is ON, the controlling circuit 20 so functions that, in response to the setting command signal, the paper 3 is reversely fed until the leading end thereof reaches the detecting position of the sensor 19, and when the output signal from the sensor 19 is turned OFF, the paper is forwardly fed and is set into the printing starting position. Accordingly, errors in mechanical component parts are eliminated, and the paper can be automatically fed to a correct position by only the operation of supplying the paper setting command. |
