Radiation heating element for baking oven

The radiation heating element for a baking oven uses several resistance wire coils (9) each having insulating beads threaded along it and welded at the end to a metallic connection tag (8). The latter is held in an insertion slot in a ceramic insulating block (5) with its oppositetend connected to a respective lead wire. Each connection tag (8) is semi-cylindrical with the same dia. as that of the wire coil (9), with notches at opposite ends spaced apart by the length of the insertion slot in the insulating block (5) and defining two projecting lobes (14,15) extending from opposite ends of the insertion slot. The intermediate section of each tag (8) between the two lobes (14,15) may be kinked to allow for limited extension without breaking.
