The subject of the invention is a connection device between post and crosspieces, characterised in that it comprises a straight metal rod 3 capable of being inserted into a hole 4 passing substantially horizontally right through the post 1 and in line with the connection to be carried out and into a hole 5 made correspondingly in the end face of a crosspiece 2 and means for clamping the latter against the post by using the said rod 3 as a tie bar, the said means being constituted, on the crosspiece side, by a wedge-shaped part 8 forcibly engaged into a slot 7 made in the end of the rod 3, the said wedge-part being inserted via a passage 6 made in the crosspiece 2 perpendicularly to the hole 5 for receiving the rod and in line with the end of the latter.
