A wooden shelving unit with a tray is described, which consists of a case having four legs with an obliquely positioned bottom surface and of one (or several) case(s) each having four legs with a bottom surface positioned horizontally. At their lower end, in addition to a lowest bottom resting surface which is perpendicular to the leg axis and fills one (first) part of the leg cross-section, the legs also have a surface (or several surfaces) which extends from said bottom resting surface, leading obliquely upwards in a straight line or in steps, and fills another (second) part of the leg cross-section. A wooden shelving unit of this type allows construction of shelving walls of the most varied arrangement and is thus very versatile. Additionally, the wooden shelving unit can be collapsed in the manner of a case in such a way that a plurality of wooden shelving units collapsed in this manner can be combined to form a pallet, for example for storage, dispatch or sales purposes.
