Display board

If there are present in display boards for sporting and advertising purposes a plurality of luminous modules for representing changing luminous information, the luminous modules are generally mounted in openings in the front plate without the possibility of regrouping, and a transparent protective pane is positioned in front. The front plate possibly carries additional fixed lettering. Given the use of a uniformly structured matrix board as leading front, possibly with a front pane being mounted, the luminous modules, which consist in each case of a carrier plate with luminous elements, can be mounted at any point on the rear side of the matrix board. In co-operation with the matrix board, the luminous modules form luminous chambers for representing changing luminous information, or backlit information boards. The mounting of the luminous modules is performed using detachable anchoring elements which permits the possibility of simple regrouping of the luminous modules when the display board is used for various applications. The design of the display board yields a reliable protection of the luminous modules and of the electrical installation against the effect of force from the front.
