PURPOSE:To increase the coefficient of heat transfer without increasing the resistance of gas flow unnecessarily, by employing such an arrangement that inside baffles for guiding combustion gas to flow at the central portion of a flue are held in contact with the inner wall surface of the body of a water heating boiler at their peripheral portion. CONSTITUTION:An inside baffle 13 having a substantially V-shaped cross section at its peripheral portion, which is located above an outside baffle 12 and formed with an opening 14 at its central portion, is held in contact with the inner wall surface of the main body 1 of a water heating boiler. Therefore, combustion gas passed through the space formed between the outside baffle 12 and the inner wall surface of the main body 1 heats the inside baffle 13, and after passing through the opening 14 of the inside baffle 13, flows along the outer circumference of the outside baffle 13 located above the inside baffle 13. Since the swirl of combustion gas is produced at U-shaped sections 19, heat possessed by the combustion gas can be transmitted more efficiently to the inner wall of the main body 1 via the inside baffles 13. |
