The AC regulator for a magnetic flywheel AC generator contains a thyristor (14) which bridges over the connections of the winding (2) and whose drive circuit is supplied from the winding (2) via a rectifier bridge (3, 4, 5, 6). The drive circuit contains a drive transistor (7), whose base-emitter junction is bridged by a TC resistor (9) and a capacitor (8). The TC resistor results in the triggering point of the thyristor (14) being displaced as a function of temperature changes.
