The large-area heating system has a number of mounting plates (A-I). Each mounting plate consists of an insulating layer and an aluminium plate (2) which is stuck onto the surface of the insulating layer and serves as vapour barrier. Provided in the aluminium plate (2) is a hole pattern (3) consisting in each case of four fastening holes (4). A heating pipe (5) is fastened with the aid of pipe clips (6) in the insulating layer (1) in such a manner that the holding pins formed on ends of the pipe clips (6) are guided through the fastening holes (4) of the hole pattern (3) and anchored in the insulating layer (1).
