PURPOSE:To reliably prevent miss ignition or miss fire without using a flame detector by providing an exhaust temperature detection section set to operate at the exhaust temperature lower than that during idling by a predetermined value and stopping the fuel feed when an exhaust temperature lower than said set value is detected. CONSTITUTION:When start command switches 1a, 1b are turned ON at time t0, relays 21, 22, 24 are energized to activate a starter, a fuel valve is opened, the fuel is fed to a combustion chamber and ignited, and an engine is started. If the fuel is not burnt normally due to miss ignition, the exhaust temperature does not reach a temperature lower than that during idling by about 50 deg.C, and a contact point 4 is left at ON. Thereby, when a contact point 14a is made ON at time t1, a relay 25 is energized and a contact point 25a is made OFF, the fuel valve is closed and the fuel feed is stopped, but the rotation speed is increased, and at time t2 after a time limit T1 has elapsed, a timer 11 is operated and a contact point 11a is made ON. Then, a coasting operation is resumed, and all timers and relays except for a timer 13 return to their initial conditions. |
