PURPOSE:To prevent slip and loading and facilitate heat emission by providing concentrically alternatively deep and shallow grooves in the lower grind grain layer of a grinding-polishing wheel to improve the contact area, elasiticity and grinding-polishing ratio per unit time of this grinding wheel. CONSTITUTION:When a grinding-polishing wheel 2 is inclined 15-25 deg. to the surface A-A to be ground and polished for grinding-polishing operation, a projection a of a shallow groove 4a in the outer peripheral portion formed on the lower grind grain layer 4 and a projection b of a deep groove 4b bear against said surface A-A simultaneously so that the contact area and grinding amount per unit time of the grinding wheel are enlarged, the efficiency of grinding and polishing and elasticity are improved, the phenomenon of inclusion of the grinding wheel into said surface A-A is eliminated, beautiful finished surface is obtained for a short time without eccentric wear and the slip phenomenon is eliminated during the grinding-polishing operation. The grinding-polishing layer is emitted through these shallow and deep grooves 4a, 4b outward by centrifugal force so that loading does not occur and heat emission is promoted. |
