PURPOSE:To simply and precisely carry out a remote adjust operation of the depth of cut of a cutting tool for chipping a casting fin, and achieve reduction of adjusting time and prevention of accidents, by controlling a slide bar operable by an adjust cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A slide bar 26 is advanced or retracted in the directions as depicted by arrows D within a predetermined stroke by an adjust cylinder 27 directly connected thereto, and thereby to project or retract a movable piece 25 in the directions as depicted by arrows E. Owing to such a projecting or retracting motion, the depth of cut of cutters 5 and 5' is adjusted. The amount of stroke of the slide bar 26 is detected by a stroke detecting sensor 31, and the cylinder 27 is controlled in response to an output of the sensor, thereby nonsteppedly adjusting the depth of cut of the cutters 5 and 5'. |
