<p>PURPOSE:To ensure that a tail gate is always opened and closed smoothly and lightly and enhance operating efficiency, by providing a bite-in preventing member between an end edge of a rear body and a base end of the tail gate. CONSTITUTION:An elastic cover 35 consisting of a rubber material or the like is fixed at the rear end edge of the rear body 2 over the entire transverse length thereof except hinge parts H for a tail gate 4. The cover 35 is substantially angular in cross-sectional shape, and is provided with an eaves piece 35a extended backward so as to cross a part beneath the gate 4, and the upper surface of the eaves piece 35a is close to the base end edge of the tail gate 4 and is formed as a downwardly slanted surface along the locus of the base end edge of the tail gate 4 at the time of opening or closing the gate 4. When opening or closing the tail gate 4, the gap between the rear edge of the rear body 2 and the base end face of the tail gate 4 is closed by the cover 35, so that a loaded material such as earth can not be bitten into the gap, and the tail gate 4 can be smoothly opened or closed.</p> |
