<p>PURPOSE:To store a large-capacity memory into a package having a small number of pins, by sharing an address input pin and a data input/output pin. CONSTITUTION:A control signal X and a write enable signal WE are set at a low level respectively when an address is supplied in a reading active mode. Then state buffers B1 and B2 are set under enable and inhibit states respectively, and at the same time AND gates G1 and G2 are opened and closed respectively. Thus an address given from the gate G1 is inputted to a memory 1 via an OR circuit G3, the buffer B1 and the pin of a control circuit 2. Then the read-out data is delivered via a state buffer B3 which is set under an enable state in response to the inversion of the signal X which inhibits the address input, the same pin of the circuit 2 and the buffer B2. In the same way, the same pin is shared for both address and data in a write mode. Thus it is possible to store a large- capacity memory into a package having a small number of pins.</p> |
