<p>PURPOSE:To take up quickly a tape at a fixed speed, by controlling the number of revolutions of a reel motor with a reel motor control circuit and in response to the calculated reel winding diameter. CONSTITUTION:At the beginning of a quick winding mode of a tape, a solenoid 9 is energized for a fixed period by a solenoid control circuit 21 to drive a solenoid pin 8 toward an arrow B. In this case, a shaft 7 implanted to the pin 8 is also driven toward the arrow B. Then a pinch lever 5 engaged to the shaft 7 through a slit is turned counterclockwise to shift a pinch roll 3 to its active position. The roll 3 and a capstan shaft 1 work together to feed a magnetic tape 11 at a fixed speed. In this case, reel motors 19 and 20 are conducted to be rotated to take up the tape 11. Then an arithmetic circuit for reel winding diameter calculates the reel winding diameter from the number of revolutions of motor 19 and 20 as well as that of a capstan motor 2. Thus it is also possible to discriminate the diameter of the tape reel.</p> |
