PURPOSE:To detect and inspect the sudden progress of deterioration in an early period and contrive the safety of running by a method wherein an alarm is raised in accordance with the absolute value of a decision signal upon various kinds of operations and the alarm is also raised, when the increasing tendency value is higher than a reference value irrespective of the absolute value. CONSTITUTION:Samplings are effected sequentially about operating condition detecting items S1-Sn and operated values PS1-PSn are obtained to store them into a memory 314. Next, the operated values PS1-PSn and a running distance Km are extracted to operate inspection timing descision value JP while the value JP is compared with the reference value JR. If JP>=JR, it is decided that the inspection is necessary and the alarm is raised by an indicating means 4. The increasing tendency value is obtained by reading out the running distance KmA, upon previous interrupting process I , and the running distance KmB, immediately before the present time, and the difference DELTAKm is obtained. Subsequently, on eof the operated value PS1 upon the process I and the same value PS1B of present are read out, the difference or the additional part DELTAPS1 of the operated value is obtained, then, the increasing tendency value MS1 per unit distance is divided by DELTAKm and is compared with the reference value MR1. If MS1>=MR1, the alarm is raised.
