PURPOSE:To readily and accurately insert a plating rod by opposing the lead row surfaces, setting ICs in a jig at the specific interval, positioning the jig, and then operating the guide part and extrusion part of the rod. CONSTITUTION:The cap 6 of an IC1 is set to a jig 7 by positioning it via a projection 9, a step 24 and a pin 10 and opposing lead row surfaces at the specific interval. When the jig 7 is fed to a member 20 and positioned in a direction B, a member 18 is moved down to urge the IC except the lead at the part 19. Then, one is isolated from a bundle and dropped at A as a rod 12 which is urged by a member 15 in a direction E. The rod 22 is led to a hole 22 formed by members 16, 17, passed accurately through the notch 23 of the jig 7, and passed through the gap of the specific leads of the IC. The members 16, 17 are separated to the right left immediately before the insertion is ended so as not to disturb the insertion. According to this structure, the product can be prevented from being cracked, notched nor contaminated, the number of steps of inserting the rod can be remarkably reduced, thereby largely reducing the cost of plating steps. |
