PURPOSE:To obtain high performance magnetic recording medium which is just suitable for mass-production by providing a metal complex on an insulating or conductive base body and allowing the magnetic material to grow with the metal part of complex used as the nucleus. CONSTITUTION:A metal complex material layer which is mainly consisting of the transition metal of four systems of Sc-Cu, Y-Ag, La-Au and Ac-Lr and an organic ligand resulting from unpaired electrons of atoms of N, O and S etc. such as the chelate type ligand of organic substance due to the O-O coordinate like acetylacetone except for ligand of inorganic substance is formed on the basic material such as ceramics and aluminum, a magnetic metal is caused to grow during application of magnetic field with a metal complex material considered as the nucleus of reaction and formation of needle-shaped magnetic particles and orientation are restricted. According to this structure, reaction proceeds at a high speed and a magnetic material is formed in order. Accordingly, a high performance magnetic recording medium can be obtained on the mass- production basis. |
