PURPOSE:To enable chamfering of the edges of both ends, the front and rear sides, of a machining bore when a main spindle is moving forward. CONSTITUTION:A bore end chamfering tool 1 has a holder 2, straight shank 3, a front-side chamfering blade 4, and a rearside chamfering blade 5. The blades 4 and 5 are formed with their phases 90 deg shifted from each other. To chamfer the edges of a machining bore 30 provided at the flange part 29 of a workpiece W, the rear-side chamfering blade 5 is brought in contact with the bore 30 for the rear side chamfering, and the front-side chamfering blade 4 is brought in contact with the bore 30 for the front side chamfering. The travel of said blades 4 and 5 are effected as a result of the movement of the shank 3 in the arrow directions actuated by a steel ball 24. |
