<p>An automatic Q meter is used. It permits the measurement of the Q of linear and non-linear inductive and other components over a wide frequency range extending to ultra-short waves in preset small and medium electromagnetic fields. An applied voltage causes a circuit containing the element under test to be set into oscillation at its natural frequency through the action of amplifier and phase-shift elements, and a limiter reduces the generated voltage, permitting the Q value to be measured as a voltage ratio. A reference voltage is generated and there are several voltage comparison circuits.</p> |
