PURPOSE:To reduce the device size of a transversal equalizer on the receiving side to reduce the cost of the device and to simplify the circuit design for restoration of modulation spectrum, by using a simple tansversal equalizer as a band limiting device on the transmitting side. CONSTITUTION:A transversal equalizer 20 is used as the band limiting device in stead of a band-pass filter 2, and an unexpensive transversal equalizer 30 with reduced size is used as a band restoring device in stead of an expensive transversal equalizer 3. Since restoration of only the amplitude is required and delay equalization is not required for the transversal equalizer 30 on the receiving side, the device size can be reduced and an unexpensive device enables to restore the modulation spectrum easily. The transversal equalizer on the receiving side is the same circuit as the one prepared on the transmitting side, so that reverse characteristics of the transmitting side can be obtained by inverting the code by a double balance mixer 68. |
