AUTOMATIC ORIGINAL FEEDER

PURPOSE:To convey an original on a platen securely by arranging belt presser rolls of an original conveying means at intervals shorter the running-directional length of the original and also providing feed-out rolls in a separating means at similar intervals. CONSTITUTION:A belt 30 is extended between a driving pulley 31 and a driven pulley 32 and applied with specific tension by a tension roll 33. The belt pressing rolls 36a-36c press the belt 30 against a platen glass plate 35 by their own weights. Those rolls 36a-36c are arranged at the intervals shorter than the running-directional length of the smallest original to be conveyed. The feed- out rolls 12a and 12b in the original separating unit 3 and belt presser rolls closest to them, i.e. roll 36a are held at similar intervals. A belt height setting roll 34 holds the belt 30 at a specific interval to the glass plate 35 on a copying machine frame 1.
