<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a laminate having improved post-formability at low temperatures, heat and water resistance, by hot-pressing a sheet of paper, impregnated with a phenolic resin containing an ester plasticizer, placed on a sheet of lignin-containing paper. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of paper impregnated with a phenolic resin comtaining 5-25 wt.% of an ester plasticizer is placed on a sheet of paper with a lignin content of 10-30 wt.%, and hot-pressed by a mold. If the lignin content is < 10%, sufficient post-formability cannot be obtained. If the content is >30%, a brittle laminate having poor thermal properties is obtained. The plasticizer in an amount <5% cannot provide the flexibility. If the amount is >25%, the thermal properties are adversely degraded.</p> |
