PURPOSE:To increase reliability of data, to obtain measured result of impact resilience coefficient directly, and to make it possible to perform 100% inspection in manufacturing lines, by imparting a burst wave having a specified frequency within specified frequency range to a golf ball, and forcibly vibrating the ball. CONSTITUTION:A burst wave oscillator 1 performs repeating oscillation of X wave oscillation and then the rest of the Y wave period. A frequency range of 600Hz-20kHz is used, but 800Hz-10kHz is desirable. A golf ball 5 to be measured is vibrated by an ultrasonic wave vibrating horn 4. The waveform from a vibration detector 6 is observed by a synchroscope 8. The easiness of the forced vibration of the ball 5 is numerically obtained. This value has a conspicuous correlation with actual impact resilience coefficient. Therefore, the impact resilience coefficient of the golf ball can be quickly and simply measured. Dispersion of data is small, and a simple and inexpensive device can be used. The measured result is directly, and the 100% inspection on the manufacturing lines can be performed. |
