<p>The invention relates to a rotary slide valve subassembly for a hydrostatic steering unit. The slide valve subassembly includes two concentric sleeves having near one end a plurality of circumferentially distributed axially extending slots which, in the neutral position, create a short circuit between the supply and discharge sides. The slots subdivide the corresponding sleeve sections into stays extending from the main sleeve sections. A construction is provided to avoid jamming of the sleeves by joining the stays of each sleeve section with a closed ring member and undercutting the inside diameter of the stays of the inner sleeve section to cause weakening thereof relative to the stays of the outer sleeve section.</p> |
