PURPOSE:To make distribution of fuel gas uniform and to proceed effective reforming reaction using steam by arranging plural evaporators for evaporating fuel symmetrically with respect to a line or a point. CONSTITUTION:Plural evaporators 1 for evaporating fuel are separated and arranged symmetrically with respect to a line or a point of symmetry, and plural reaction tubes 2 are connected to the top of the evaporator 1. A fuel mixture consisting of methanol and water is fed to the evaporator 1 from nozzles 4 fitted to each evaporator 1, evaporated by heating directly with a burner 3, and obtd. fuel gas is fed to each corresponding reaction tube 2. The fuel gas is allowed to contact with a catalyst bed 5, and reformed gas consisting primarily of H2 is generated, which is discharged through a collecting chamber 8. |
