PURPOSE:To improve the printing operation of a serial printer by eliminating the lagging action of mechanical section by using a system in which spacing operation is made several times before the beginning of printing operation when power source is closed. CONSTITUTION:When power source is closed, a space motor 9 is driven toward the home position side by a processor, and the presence or absence of signal from the home position is checked. When no signal is present, the operation is in waiting until ''Yes'' signal is available. In the case of ''Yes'', the motor 9 is stopped and then driven toward the direction of C to check on whether a carrier is driven to the end; that is, it is checked whether the carrier is driven given times from the end of the direction of D to the end of the direction of C. In the case of ''Yes'', whether printing command comes or not is checked for a awaiting a printing command. |
